Most Reverend Dr. Anthony Mikovsky

Most Rev. Dr. Anthony Mikovsky is the current Prime Bishop of the PNCC. He was elected Bishop at the 21st General Synod of the PNCC in October of 2006, and was Consecrated on November 30, 2006. He was assigned as 7th Ordinary of the Central Diocese. He was subsequently elected Prime Bishop of the PNCC at the XXIII General Synod of the Church in October 2010 and was re-elected at the XXV General Synod in 2018. 

The Most Rev. Dr. Anthony Mikovsky is a native of Trenton, NJ and is a lifelong member of the Polish National Catholic Church. Bishop Anthony graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in Mathematics and Physics in 1988, received his Masters Degree in Mathematics in 1995 and received his Doctorate in Mathematics in 1997 both from the esteemed University of Pennsylvania. He attended Savonarola Theological Seminary of the PNCC and was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in April of 1997. Bishop Mikovsky is married and he and his wife Carol are residents of Scranton, Pennsylvania. 

Effective June 1, 2024, by right of his Office as Prime Bishop of the PNCC, he is also Bishop of the Central Diocese.

Bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo-Pittsburgh

Rt. Rev. John E. Mack

Rt. Rev. John E. Mack, took the helm of the Central Diocese of the PNCC, as well as the mother church of the PNCC, St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Cathedral, on February 1, 2011. 

Bishop Mack was Consecrated on November 30, 2006. Prior to his appointment as Bishop Ordinary of the Central Diocese, Bishop Mack served for four years as the auxiliary bishop of the Buffalo-Pittsburgh Diocese, and has been longtime pastor of Holy Trinity Parish in Washington, Pennsylvania. Bishop Mack was born and raised in the Polish National Catholic Church in the greater Detroit area and attended Savonarola Theological Seminary in Scranton. Bishop Mack and his wife Sherry have three children, aged 17, 20 and 23. 

Bishop Mack served as Bishop Ordinary of the Central Diocese until August 14, 2012 when he was succeeded by the Rt. Rev. Bernard Nowicki. As of August 15, 2012 Bishop Mack assumed duties as Bishop Ordinary of the Buffalo-Pittsburgh Diocese of the PNCC.

Rev. Robert Grizzell

Father Robert Grizzell was elevated to the clerical state in May 2025. Father Robert is currently studying for his master's in divinity at Oblate School of Theology and has completed his training/formation for the Polish National Catholic Church. Father Robert was ordained to the Diaconate July 26, 2025 in Buffalo, NY, and Ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ on November 15, 2025 at St. Jude the Apostle PNCC in Pleasanton, TX. Father Robert also serves as a chaplain for both hospital and hospice ministries. 

The Rev. Fr. Robert Theodore Grizzell is a priest of the Polish National Catholic Church (PNCC) who has dedicated his ministry to preaching the Gospel, celebrating the Holy Sacraments, and serving God's people with compassion and faithfulness. Before his ordination to the priesthood, he faithfully served as a deacon and as a healthcare chaplain, ministering to the sick, the dying, their families, and medical professionals. As Pastor of St. Jude the Apostle Polish National Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas, Fr. Grizzell is committed to evangelization, bilingual ministry in English and Spanish, community outreach, and the growth of the PNCC. Through his preaching, pastoral care, teaching, and public ministry, he seeks to proclaim Christ's love, strengthen the faithful, and welcome all who are searching for a church rooted in the Catholic faith and the traditions of the Polish National Catholic Church.

Rev. Valentín Ekiaka Nzai

Rev. Dr. Valentín Ekiaka Nzai is a missionary-priest, formator, teacher educator & pastoral theology instructor/scholar whose ministry has been marked by service across several continents. Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he has served the Church through parish ministry, missionary work with the CICM (Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary), theological education, and pastoral leadership in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the United States.

He has not only taught Multicultural/intercultural and bilingual –bicultural teacher education, theology, and pastoral ministry courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, as a teaching assistant and adjunct at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL), as Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University – Kingsville (TAMUK), and as Associate Professor at Mexican American Catholic College (MACC). He also worked as an Instructor/Visiting Professor for some Mexican universities as well in the Dominican Republic and Taiwan.

While in MACC he actively participated in preparing priest candidates residing at Assumption Seminary  as well permanent deacon students (married clergy) for the archdiocese of San Antonio for seven years. He authored numerous academic publications, presented in his research work at national and international professional organizations. He is also recognized for his work in leadership formation, marriage and family ministry, and multilingual evangelization. He has active linguistic proficiency in 5 world- languages and passive Fluency in three.

Rev. Dr. Valentin Ekiaka Nzai and his wife Dra. Rocio Rodriguez Melendez, are the co-founders of Missionaries of Seniors Healthcare (https://www.misenhe-usa.org) ; a community for Lay Professional Missionary (RN – MD) & Married Clergy’ s formation and Ministry in Geronto - Geriatric /EOL (End of Life) Care. He has dedicated his priesthood in forming future ad-extra RN – MD missionaries and clerical couples, from the fundamental tenets of family Spójnia (Koinonia) & acquired conjugal mysticism, to devote themselves to Geronto-Geriatric /EOL (End of Life) Ministry worldwide in diversity, ecumenical and interfaith settings
